Jeff A. Shumway
Jeff Shumway is the Principal of the Edgewater Residential Real Estate Limited Partnership. Jeff has a law degree from Yale Law School and a finance degree from Arizona State University. He has an eclectic background that spans nearly 20 years of hands on management experience. Jeff was a lawyer with the New York law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom. He has also served as the Chairman, CEO and Governor of the Phoenix Coyotes hockey club of the National Hockey League. Jeff developed and managed the building of over 400 condominium units in the Phoenix and Las Vegas markets. He has also been involved in the development of retail and commercial properties and residential single family lots. Jeff also served as President of Deer Valley Capital. In this capacity, Jeff was responsible for approximately $1 billion in assets, including overseeing four operating companies with combined annual revenues in excess of $950 million.
Jeff is on the Board of Directors of Partners In Action. He also is a member of the Arizona State University Foundation and a former member of the Greater Phoenix Leadership Council. Both groups are made up of prominent local business leaders and work at bringing government and private enterprise together for the betterment of the community. He has worked with various government and private groups to help improve education and opportunities for children.
Curtis M. Cluff
Curt founded Partners in Action in 1986 and has continually served as its Chairman and President. From its inception, Partners has focused on creating low income housing across the United States. With over 30 years of Real Estate industry experience, Curt is a leader in the low income housing market. Among his vast real estate experience, in 1969 Curt started United Equities, Inc., a Phoenix based real estate development company that developed both its own properties and managed properties for third parties. In 1973, Curt started Associated Property Management Company, which managed over 12,000 condominium, apartment and various government subsidized projects. Among other things, APMC was highly involved in syndications, bond offerings and real estate partnerships. Under Mr. Cluff’s direction, Partners has expanded its scope to helping orphanages in third world countries around the globe. In 1978, Curt founded Asset Trust Management which provided low income housing to students and their families. ATM now provides property management services to third party property owners.
Curt graduated from the University of LaVerne, California in 1962 with a degree in Business Administration. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Arizona; a member of the State Board of Realtors, an International Certified Appraiser and a Senior Member of the International Organization of Real Estate Appraisers.
